Restaurants Keep Outdoor Dining Area in Santa Monica

As California gears towards a June 15th reopening, restaurants and cafes are getting ready to serve customers at 100% capacity. Many business owners in Santa Monica prefer to keep their outdoor dining area as they slowly recover from the pandemic. The city of Santa Monica proposes to extend their parklet program till the end of the year to support local restaurants; starting 2022, the city will charge for use of that public space at a reasonable rate if the ordinance gets passed.

Spring Break Reimagined | See It Live Newscast

USC announced its Wellness Day schedule at the start of the semester replacing mid-March spring breaks, lowering the risk of transferring the virus. However, most Trojans, as suggested on social media, agreed that the school’s adjustment only caused more stress and frustration. Some are still traveling to favorite vacation spots while Chief Health Officer encourages fewer trips and gatherings.
